  8. The Collected Prose, Elisabeth Bishop
  9. Selected Poems, by Marina Tsvetaeva
  10. Journal of a Solitude, May Sarton

  1. Quite a unique list you have got there. I love Pippi Långstrump (being Swedish). Most of the others are unknown to me. I have not yet managed to finish anything by George Eliot, although everyone seem to love her books. Mary Wollstonecraft will be interesting.

  2. Oh I love that you’ve listed quite a few books I’ve not heard of before. I’m off to find out more. For me, I’d like The Persimmon Tree to win, mostly because I love persimmons 🙂

  3. I’ve joined the read-along and am enjoying ‘Vindication’. And I absolutely loved Middlemarch …. you’re in for a treat if you spin it. You have many titles that I’ve never heard of so I’m looking forward to investigating them. Have a great spin, Juliana!

    1. I’ve just started Vindication too for Ruth’s readalong – better late than never! Hoping to catch up over the Easter break and have some good solid reading time in the next 4 days (fingers crossed).
But as a good Aussie, I wish you the Christina Stead this spin 🙂

  4. I love your list and this painting, Juliana! The Awakening and The Secret Garden are both wonderful and utterly perfect for spring, so I hope you get one of those. And A Vindication for the Rights of Women makes me miss our Romantic Outlaws read-along!

  5. I loved Miss Marjoribanks so I really hope you get Hester — I’m hoping to read all the Carlingford Chronicles eventually. Good luck with your spin!

  6. I seem to be having posting problems – please forgive me for my spam. If it didn’t go through earlier, I wanted to wish you The Secret Garden, as I really loved that one. Happy spinning!
